In line with the values instilled by Dr. Wasudeorao Bhandarkar, we are pleased to announce the commencement of the annual competition focused on sustainable solutions for the challenges faced by the citizens of Bramhapuri. This year’s topic is the rising temperatures in Bramhapuri. We would greatly appreciate your school’s participation in this competition by encouraging as many students as possible to take part. Kindly display the competition details on the school’s notice board for students’ reference.
The Sahishnu Foundation invites students from grades 8 to 10 to participate in a 5-minute video competition on solutions to address the rising temperatures in Bramhapuri. The rise in temperature has affected the local ecosystem and community health. Through this competition, students have the opportunity to become environmental scientists and propose real-world solutions to combat the increasing heat in Bramhapuri. Showcase your creativity, apply scientific principles, and make a lasting impact on your community and the planet!
Participants are encouraged to explore creative and practical solutions that are:
- Scientifically sound
- Economically feasible
- Focused on using local resources to make Bramhapuri resilient to climate change
Evaluation Criteria:
- Feasibility: How practical is your solution in Bramhapuri, and how can it be implemented?
- Scientific Approach: The solution should be based on scientific principles and methods.
- Economic Viability: Can your solution be implemented at a reasonable cost? Consider local financial challenges.
- Use of Local Resources: Focus on how your idea can be implemented using Bramhapuri’s geographic, environmental, and social resources.
Prizes:
- First Prize: ₹25,000
- Second Prize: ₹15,000
- Third Prize: ₹10,000
Additional Support: The top three winners will receive a travel grant of ₹10,000 to visit institutions for technical expertise and guidance on their project. The top 10 selected videos will be featured on the Sahishnu Foundation website and journal.
Note: The intra-school competition will be conducted by the school’s teachers, who will select the top 3 videos and submit them to the Sahishnu Foundation. The decisions of the Sahishnu Foundation will be final. Videos should be sent only from the school’s email.
Presentation:
During the ‘Environmental Summit’ organized by the Sahishnu Foundation, competitors will present their videos to local representatives.
How to Participate:
